The Master of Art and Design programme offered by TAR UMT is designed to produce graduates who are trained with advanced knowledge, practical and analytical skills required for problem identification, research design and data analysis. It is particularly relevant to the creative profession, which requires critical thinking, analytical abilities, and extensive study. In the process of creating high-quality art material, there is a strong demand for art and design professionalism.
Entry requirements
A Bachelor's degree (Level 6 Malaysian Qualifications Framework, MQF) or its equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 in the relevant field, as accepted by the Senate; OR
A Bachelor's degree (Level 6, MQF) or its equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 in the relevant field and not meeting a CGPA of 2.75, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment; OR
A Bachelor's degree (Level 6, MQF) or its equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.00 but less than 2.50 in the relevant field, can be accepted subject to a minimum of 5 years of working experience in a relevant field; OR
Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognised by the Government of Malaysia.
AND Pass an interview or submission of portfolio determined by the HEP as required.
English Language Requirements
1) Malaysian Students
MUET Band 4.0/ IELTS Band 6.0/ CEFR Mid B2/ TOEFL iBT 60/ equivalent; OR
Exemption of English Language requirement if the medium of instruction during Bachelor studies was in English
2) International Students
IELTS Band 6.0/ CEFR Mid B2/ TOEFL iBT 60/equivalent; OR
Exemption of English Language requirement if medium of instruction during Bachelor studies was in English
