Master of Artificial Intelligence

The Master of Artificial Intelligence programme is designed to equip students with advanced knowledge and expertise in the dynamic field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). It focuses on developing professionals capable of designing, implementing, and managing AI-driven solutions to address real-world challenges.

The curriculum combines strong theoretical foundations with practical applications, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared to contribute effectively to industry, academia, and research. Students will gain an in-depth understanding of core AI domains, including machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and AI ethics.

In addition, the programme integrates research components and industry-based case studies to enhance students' analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, empowering them to lead innovation in the evolving landscape of Artificial Intelligence.

Academic Requirement

1. A Bachelor's Degree (Level 6, MQF) in Computing or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, as accepted by the Higher Education Provider (HEP) Senate; OR
2. A Bachelor's Degree (Level 6, MQF) in Computing or related fields or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 may be accepted subject to a minimum of FIVE (5) years of working experience in the related fields and rigorous internal assessment; OR
3. A Bachelor's Degree (Level 6, MQF) in a non-Computing field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 may be accepted subject to a thorough and rigorous assessment by the HEP to determine appropriate prerequisite courses equivalent to relevant working experience in Computing or related fields; OR
4. Candidates without a qualification in the related fields or relevant working experience must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses as determined by the HEP and meet a minimum CGPA of 2.00 with a minimum of FIVE (5) years of working experience in the related fields, and rigorous internal assessment.
5. Other qualifications equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree (Level 6, MQF) in Computing or related fields recognised by the Government of Malaysia (e.g. APEL A), which must fulfil the requirements stated in item (i) or (ii).

English Requirement (International Students)

• Evidence of good English competency orally and written. A minimum score of 6.0 in IELTS OR Malaysian University English Test (MUET) with Band 4 OR its equivalent.
